How we approached it

Challenge & approach

Every engagement starts from a constraint. This is the problem Ulrike Gschwind brought to us, and the route the team took through it.

The challenge

A sustainability rewards platform needs every scan and points event to be associated with the correct user and recorded consistently. The product therefore required a reliable data model, secure authentication, an intuitive QR interaction, and transparent reward logic that could operate together without creating uncertainty around balances or activity.

Our approach

Deployed began with infrastructure and database architecture to define how accounts, scans, and points would relate. The interface and authentication flow were implemented next, followed by the core QR-scanning and points logic so the user action, validation process, and reward update formed one continuous experience.

Delivery scope

The engagement, stage by stage

All 3 stages below belong to the same consolidated customer project. Each one builds on the stage before it rather than running as a separate piece of work.

  1. Discovery, Infrastructure & Database ArchitectureOpens the engagement and leads into UI/UX Implementation & Authentication.
  2. UI/UX Implementation & AuthenticationBuilds on Discovery, Infrastructure & Database Architecture and leads into Core QR Scan & Point Logic Engine.
  3. Core QR Scan & Point Logic EngineBuilds on UI/UX Implementation & Authentication to complete the engagement.

Working model

How the engagement was run

The same delivery model sits behind every customer story on this site.

  • One consolidated project Every stage stayed inside a single engagement instead of being split into separate workstreams, so scope, identities, and product rules were decided once.
  • Sequenced, not parallel Each of the 3 stages built on the output of the one before it, which kept later decisions anchored to work that was already proven.
  • Shipped as one product Ulrike Gschwind received a release that resolves into a coherent rewards platform rather than a set of disconnected features.

Outcome
